Takehara Townscape Conservation Area たけはら町並み翝存地区 #Takehara Old Town This is an old town in Hiroshima Prefecture with a retro feel from the Edo period. I would like to say that this place is very quiet. It is about a 70-minute drive from Hiroshima City. When you enter the old town area, you will see that the streets and buildings are in an old Japanese style with wood that has been well preserved. It looks very impressive and there are real people living there, including Saihoji Temple, the center of the people here. From above, you can see a view of the city. How to get there By bus Take a bus from Hiroshima Station to Takehara Station. It takes about 70 minutes. Train Take a train from Hiroshima Station to Takehara Station. It takes about 80 minutes. Car It takes 70 minutes to drive from Hiroshima to Takehara, or only 25 minutes from Hiroshima Airport. For this trip, we chose to drive from Hiroshima to chill out. [Points] ~A place to relax~ Ochadokoro Shiro is located in a corner of the Takehara Townscape Preservation District. It's the furthest place from the station, so it's nice to have a meal here and then stroll around the town. The interior of the restaurant has a very retro atmosphere and is cozy and relaxing.
