The zoo itself was great, but the scenery with Sydney Harbor as the background was especially impressive. I visited with my kids, and it was so much fun to be able to observe various animals up close. It was a special experience to see native Australian animals like koalas and kangaroos in person. Also, the natural environment surrounding the zoo is well preserved, so it was great for a walk. Taronga Zoo is the perfect place to spend a day with your family.

Taronga Zoo Sydney, with a history of over a hundred years, is located on the hills north of Sydney Harbour, offering a panoramic view of the entire Sydney cityscape. Last visited 28 December 2022 so thought I'd share a review on here. Fabulous zoo!! Far better than any zoo's in NZ. Cost is only NZ$50 (or about AU$44) and that included the gondola. Return ferry to Circular Quay - public transport is dirt cheap (Opal) compared with NZ. Bird and Seal Show is wonderful. Though the seal show line is super long, we still managed to get a seat for the first time at the front. It'll be great if this zoo could order heaps of size L t-shirts for men and a variety especially for the summer holidays. Good thing we visited before they closed the gondola for renovations. Weather was beautiful. A day trip well worth it. We'll be back in Syd end of this year (late December) for a solid 2 weeks. When a koala bear sleeps 20 hours a day, how lucky can you get when you can see the Koala climbing the tree. I’m additional, all of the animals were lively and actively moving around in their environment. The animal exhibits were very close, making it easier to see the animals. This time I went to the taronga Zoo in Sydney and I think I must experience it at the local zoo on a trip. This zoo is huge and some birds walk on the ground, which is very interesting. This zoo is quite hygienic and doesn't have too much foul smell. It's worth going. The tickets bought this time can enter once within six months, not necessarily choose to enter the park on the same day, the only drawback is that the restaurant here does not have too many choices, more snacks, it is recommended to eat something before going. The overall feeling I think is worth experiencing, seeing the animals, sitting in the cable car, and relaxing.

honestly hands down the best zoo I’ve ever been to. there was so much to see and do and it was a fun filled day out. they have some incredible animals that you wouldn’t see in other zoos in the UK like kangaroos, pelicans, camels and even elephants. it was definitely worth going they put on some shows like the free flight show which was some exotic birds flying over the crowds and doing a routine and they also had a show with the seals they are such clever animals memorising a routine and executing the stunts perfectly. they also had some 5-10 minutes shows where they would feed the animals and tell us some facts it was very interesting cannot Recommend Taronga Zoo enough #travelling #tarongazoo

Australia is home to many small conservation-focused zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, so I usually lack interest in large zoos and have only visited Melbourne Zoo and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane. Despite being Australia's largest zoo, Taronga Zoo's design is completely different from traditional urban zoos. It strives to create environments suitable for animal activities and minimizes artificial disturbances, allowing the animals to move more freely. Visitors can also enjoy observing the animals in a more natural setting, completely breaking my preconceived notions about zoos. It's definitely worth spending half a day exploring. 💰Average Cost: Tickets 🎫 are approximately 1,000 TWD.
