Its structure extends east and west with impressive wings, and the main facade is adorned with sculptures and emblems representing Switzerland's 26 cantons. The building is divided into three sections: the wings on either side house the National Council and the Council of States, while the central area beneath the dome is used for various assemblies and events. Although primarily an office space, the Federal Palace is open to visitors free of charge. However, reservations must be made online at least three days in advance. Bern's name comes from "bear," and the city's guardians live leisurely in the park. Looking at their adorable appearance, one can't help but smile. Entering the Old Town, the first thing you see is the long arcades. The sunlight shines through the gaps in the arcades onto the cobblestone streets, and the mottled light and shadows seem to tell the 800-year history of the city. In the distance, the sound of the clock tower's chimes can be heard, and following the sound, we arrive at the famous Zytglogge. Just in time for the hour, the mechanical figures on the clock tower begin to perform, the golden rooster crows, and the little bears march in line, making the gears of time tangible and vivid. Passing through the arcades, we arrive at the banks of the Aare River. The emerald-like river flows quietly, reflecting the medieval buildings on both sides, creating a moving picture. In a corner café, I order a cup of coffee, imagining that a hundred years ago, Einstein might have been here pondering the mysteries of the universe. It is said that the banks' vaults are located underground in the square, making it known as "the most valuable place in Switzerland" along with Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. Known as the Swiss Federal Palace square, the building definitely shows the craftsmanship and artistic vibe, truly magnificent. We took a stroll around the building and the view of Bern from the back of the building was also simply amazing and stunning! We love this casual stroll, enjoying the mountains and majestic architectures of Bundeshaus, besides having bird’s eye landscape view of Bern! We did not tour the inside of the Parliament building, but from the photos I’ve seen online, it might be worth the visit!

It is bigger and cuter than you think, so make sure to see it on your way.🐻 If you pass the Bear Garden and go up the hill for about 5 minutes, you will arrive at the Rose Garden!! Just seeing the various roses and people leisurely enjoying a picnic in the park was healing in itself. However, the main attraction of the Rose Garden is that it is a place where you can see the medieval city of Bern at a glance! If you go, be sure to take lots of pictures and photos.😊 In addition, the Rosengarten restaurant in the Rose Garden is really delicious, so if you have time, I recommend eating leisurely and looking around! In addition, I recommend the Bern Zoo for families with children or travelers who like animals.
