🙏Wat Bang Kaen Noi was built in 1868 by Khunying Chui (Noi) Wongsarot. It is a chapel built on a bamboo raft tied to a Bodhi tree. Later in 1875, a chapel was built on the ground. In 1997, a new chapel (the current one) was built.
Inside the temple, there are important things that are interesting. You should have a chance to see and pay homage, including:
🏰 The chapel has a special feature: the floor of the chapel uses only 7 golden teak planks. Each plank is 40-44 inches wide, 2 inches thick, and 15 meters long, arranged in a row until full.
🏰 The pedestal used to support the principal Buddha image is made of very large Makha Mong wood. The Buddha image's pedestal is carved in the shape of a chom ha, made by craftsmen from Phetchaburi, along with a cement base.
🙏 Inside the chapel, there is the enshrined Phra Phuttha Samut Si Phichai Wisutthimuni. The Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture. Behind is a carved wooden image of the birth and nirvana of the Lord Buddha. On the left and right are small, beautifully made Buddha relics.
🙏The interior walls of the chapel are carved with the Ten Lives of the Buddha and stories about the life of the Lord Buddha.
🙏In front of the chapel is the Phra Phuttha Samut Si Phichai Wisutthisadasat (Luang Pho Chokdee), a Buddha statue in the meditation posture.
🏰The Vajra-asana throne enshrines the relics of the Lord Buddha along with 80 of the 80 great disciples arranged in a circle, as well as statues resembling the four great kings (Chatulokaban), namely Thao Thattarattha, Thao Wirunhaka, Thao Wirupaksa. Thao Wessuwan
🏰Thai-style hut is an old wooden hut that is more than 130 years old. On the hut, there are things worth worshiping, including 28 Buddhas, Buddha statues in royal attire, Buddha statues carved from the sacred stone, Luang Pho Mongkolrat Muni, wax figures of Luang Pu Thuad, wax figures of Somdet Phutthachan (To Phrommarangsi)
