[2025 Minakami Stay] Travel Guide for Zazan Minakami (Updated May)

Gunma Minakami Onsen Mizukamikan ♨️ ⁡ Dinner was served at the venue, and probably as a plan perk, alcohol and soft drinks were all-you-can-drink🍷 Except for local sake and beer, whiskey, sours, wine, and soft drinks were all-you-can-drink, and I made and drank a ginger highball!!! ⁡ The miso-grilled beef, sashimi🐟, beef stew, and freshly cooked rice were very delicious😇 ⁡ For around 10,000 yen per person, there are many buffet meals, but I was very satisfied to be able to eat a dish that was prepared from the beginning and came later as a kaiseki meal?!!! ⁡ There was a wide variety of dishes, and I could eat until I was full... #AccommodationReview I stayed at the Minakamikan in Minakami-cho, Gunma Prefecture. It's a lovely inn with a view of the mountains and the river. The clear waters of the Minakami Onsen hot springs in Minakami Onsenkyo left my skin silky smooth. There are three hot spring baths at Minakamikan, and they are designated for men and women at different times. There is also a family bath in addition to that. The staff were very kind, and there were many foreign staff members, so I was impressed with how well they treated me. It's a lovely inn, so I recommend it.

Gunma Minakami Onsen Minakamikan ♨️ ~Okutone Hachiyu~ ⁡ There are eight bathtubs, but there are many in one large bath, so it's fun just to be in them!!! ⁡ There are also about ten washing areas, so even if there are a lot of people, it doesn't seem like it will be crowded👀 ⁡ Some of the bathtubs can fit about four people, but they are generally just the right size for about two people. ⁡ By the way, the Tone River is right in front of this place, but it's closer to the river than other places, so it was a little scary😂 *It was raining at the time, so it might be beautiful and impressive if it was sunny!!! ⁡ My personal recommendation is the open-air rock bath🪨 The temperature was lukewarm at about 41-42 degrees, so it was easy to get in, and you could feel the breeze from the river while bathing, so it felt great to just relax in it♨️ ⁡ The cave bath was so hot that it was almost tingling... Gunma Minakami Onsen Minakamikan ♨️ ⁡~Crystal Bath~ Mikamikan has three large baths and 15 bathtubs, but today I'd like to introduce you to the "Crystal Bath"!!! ⁡ 1st to 3rd photos: Okutone Hiba Bath The temperature is 42-43 degrees, which is a little hot, but it's still warm enough to bathe in. It's large enough for about 8 people, and there's a washing area nearby. The bathtub is made of stone, but the ceiling and walls are made of hiba wood👀 Personally, I recommend looking at the ceiling while soaking in the bathtub! I like the retro feel🌲 ⁡ 4th to 5th photos: Crystal bath When I got in the bathtub, my skin tingled and it seemed to be about 45 degrees😂I took a quick bath and got out right away...lol It's an indoor bath, but you can get in while looking at the river, so it's recommended for those who don't mind a hot bath! It's a pretty large bathtub, so it looks like it could fit about 15 people. ⁡ 6th to 9th photos: Barrel-shaped open-air bath This is also a tub made of cypress wood, and is large enough for about four people. The temperature is about 42 degrees, which is the most comfortable temperature among the crystal baths!!! Gunma Minakami Onsen Minakamikan ⁡ This was my first visit to Minakami Onsen since visiting Keisetsu no Yado Shobun, and Minakamikan was a great onsen inn with great value for money!!! ⁡ ✔️Recommended points ⚫︎There are three large baths (15 baths in total), so you can take a bath in the inn. ⚫︎From 9,900 yen for one night with two meals (if booking through Jalan for two people) ⚫︎Even the 8-tatami Japanese-style room is larger than I expected. ⚫︎The inn is right in front of a river, so the sound of the river is soothing. ⚫︎Drinks in the lobby are free (time limit applies) Orange juice, Ayataka, coffee, etc. ⚫︎There are two keys to the room🗝 ⚫︎There is table tennis🏓(550 yen for 30 minutes, 1100 yen for 55 minutes, if you reserve your time as soon as you check in, you can play at the time you want!!!) ⚫︎There is a private bath (charges vary depending on the bath) ⚫︎Free drinks included at dinner (maybe it depends on the plan, but we were able to drink everything except beer and local sake for free! Whiskey, sours, wine, and soft drinks are free) ⚫︎You can see the Minakami-dake mountains from the small observation deck on the 11th floor. The view is great⛰ (Someone who was taking a cigarette break near the entrance told me👀) ⚫︎You can use wifi in your room! 　I was happy to find this, as the information I received in advance said that it could only be used in the lobby!!! ⚫︎The Joetsu Line runs right next to you, so if you're lucky, you might be able to see it! ? 🚃 ⁡ ⁡ ✔️Points to note ・Even though I booked a non-smoking room, there was a cigarette smell... (from the sink and bathroom 🚬) ・There was the sound of the river all the time, so if you want it to be quiet enough to not even hear the river, be careful!
