I chanced upon Seven Mile Beach on a beautiful morning while making my run for oysters at the nearby Barilla Oyster Farm - a dozen of huge fresh creamy oysters for about AUD 25, shucked and with lemon (last photo). What great value! Seven Mile Beach was so peaceful and tranquil. All I could hear was birds chirping away and trees swaying. There were also a couple of white swans gliding gracefully across still water. There is a horse track at the beach and a pit for horses to roll around. I caught 2 horses and their owners having a great time horse riding during my time there. #beachlife #beach #horse #horseriding #bird #peace #quiet

It is 5 minutes drive from Hobart airport, we drove to the beach to enjoy the spectacular view before catching our flight back to Melbourne.

Watching the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis) from Hobart was like stepping into a dream. We found the perfect spot by the water, Seven Miles Beach, close to Hobart airport; away from the city lights, and just watched in awe as the auroras flickered and shifted. It felt otherworldly, almost like a secret show that nature put on just for us. The chill in the air only added to the excitement, making the experience all the more exhilarating.
