Shang Palace

I have seen many notes recommending Shang Palace on Xiaohongshu before, so I booked this year's New Year's Eve dinner here. Shang Palace is a Chinese restaurant in the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok. The hotel is located by the Chao Phraya River, near BTS Siphon Taksin Station. Tonight, I booked Peking duck and roast suckling pig in advance, and ordered steamed fish, garlic shrimp, etc. on the spot. None of the dishes were disappointing, they were all super delicious! ! Really delicious! It's a pity that dim sum is only available at lunch time, not at dinner. I will definitely go to Xin again next time. The only pity is that due to the epidemic, there are no tourists, the whole hotel is empty, and there is no popularity at all. In addition, Shangri-La has a long history and has not been maintained and updated recently, so the hotel is relatively old and cannot attract local people to stay and experience staycation, even though the room is already at a bargain price. I hope that the epidemic will pass quickly in the new year, and all compatriots overseas can return home smoothly. I also hope that my family and friends can be healthy and happy every day.

Shang Palace is located in the Shangri-La Tanjong Aru Hotel in Kota Kinabalu. It serves authentic Chinese cuisine. Guests staying at the hotel can make reservations by phone (Chinese service is available). Dishes: The ketchup balls are super delicious, and the meat is big, firm and chewy! The boneless pickled fish fillet is suitable for children and goes well with rice. The kale is also delicious. By the way, there is also afternoon tea here☕️

We were surprised to find such a delicious and authentic Chinese restaurant, which made us feel at home. Not only is the restaurant elegantly decorated, but the food is also delicious. We ordered "Shanghai Palace Roast Chicken", "Crystal Shrimp Dumplings", "Shanghai Xiaolongbao" and "Mapo Tofu", etc., all of which were delicious, amazing and unforgettable. In addition, the restaurant actually has "Chinese service staff", which is very convenient. Special thanks to the Chinese service staff Morgan and Penny, their warm and thoughtful service really touched us, and the restaurant manager "Hasajith" is also very friendly, and the waiter Hemantha's service is excellent. So, if you come to Colombo and want to eat at a Chinese restaurant, Shang Palace will be your best choice!

Shanggong is a Chinese restaurant located in Shangri-La Hotel. The restaurant is decorated in an antique style and is full of Chinese style. Its tea ordering method is also very unique, the signature with the tea name is loaded into a small wooden cup, which kind of tea you want to drink from the wooden cup to take out the signature, handed over to the waiter, quite old tea house taste. Garlic stew on the gold and silver eggs, the stew is green and dripping, the soup is added with small fish dried and fresh, the wolfberry adds the sweetness of the soup, the color and taste are excellent. Mushroom tofu Add mushrooms, white mushrooms, green peppers, chili, radish, jade, salmon, shrimp and fish to cook in a whole pot. The mushroom entrance is soft and smooth, freshly fragrant to the throat. Lotus seed red bean paste, red bean is ground into powder, the entrance is densely sanded, the fragrance of lotus seeds is fragrant.

This restaurant is not cost-effective, two people have to eat 1000+, but the environment is really good. We used to be not a meal, the waiter patiently received, and later thought that we were going to charter the room and the guest waiter was still reasonable. Because there are not many people in business sitting by the window, the vision is not said, and fried rice is really to eat, too delicious.

The restaurant on Tanrongya Road Shangri-La is similar to the domestic Xianggong. There are fewer seafood varieties, only flower lobster, crab, fish and sand white. The soft shell crab is fried and fragrant. There is really no scum, but there is no crab smell. The shrimp ball egg yolk is wrapped evenly, tastes good, a little tired. Chicken and duck fork roast is very good. Other ingredients are very fresh. The fish is steamed old and the taste is okay. Sixteen percent of the service fee and tax will be charged.

Living in Shangri-La, lazy to get seafood, went downstairs to eat Xianggong, did not expect to give us such a big surprise! I ordered two dishes and one soup with my husband and two snacks. 1. Hot and sour soup, in addition to the traditional content, there are actually a lot of seafood, shrimp, cheers, salmon, etc., sour and hot. 2. Black pepper beef, black pepper beef with onions, good taste, meat QQ. 3. Clear stir-fried cabbage heart, fresh and tender. 4. Peanut soup black sand dumplings, peanut soup is very delicate, this husband likes it, I think peanut soup is sweeter (I am and super sweet food control). 5. Red bean paste pot cake, this is the favorite tonight, the two sides are fried crispy, the red bean paste in the middle is sweet, so delicious!
