The environment is good, the service is more timely, that is, the waiter's accent is heavier, some are not very clear.
It is a small restaurant in an old Biedermeier house. I have eaten here four or five times over the last few years. The standard of the cooking is excellent and consistently good. Service is always very friendly and professional.
We pre-booked this restaurant but had a little trouble finding it due to the discreet signage. On arrival, we were the only guests, which was a bit concerning - but others soon arrived, creating a more relaxed atmosphere.Service was prompt and polite, and the menu featured traditional Austrian dishes. We had the Tafelspitz (boiled beef), which was delicious and incredibly tender. The bill included the 50% discount from The Fork, making for a cosy and great-value evening. A very nice experience - we’d highly recommend it.
We walked a little ways to find this restaurant and to be fair, it wasn't easy to locate but the food was some of the best we've had in Vienna! I had the boiled beef and my wife had the veal schnitzel and both were just fabulous! All this and 4 drinks for less than 50 euros! Hard to beat. We would go there again.
We all enjoyed our food a lot. Everything was made with an eye for detail and was delicious. For example the Topfenknödel were a creamy, fluffy deliciousness. We will rearrange our schedule to go there again before we leave Vienna.
