Day 1: Minyue Water Town + Gushan (Experience Minyue Culture + Climb to See the Distance)
Morning: Minyue Water Town
- 9:30 AM Arrive at the scenic area entrance and take photos of the ancient buildings at Fu Culture Square. Remember to wear light-colored clothing for better photos.
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Stroll along the main street and enjoy performances: Maritime Silk Road Square hosts the "Ancient Maritime Silk Road Show." At the Qinghong Arena, you might encounter the Min King patrolling the city. If you have children, visit the "Dream Building Paradise" for rides (some attractions are charged separately).
- For lunch, we recommend Minyue Restaurant within the scenic area. Try the lychee meat and red fermented rice wine pork, or bring your own snacks to save time.
Afternoon: Gushan
- 1:30 PM Take a taxi to Gushan (approximately 40 minutes, approximately 60 yuan). Take Metro Line 2 to Gushan Station, exit A, and walk 10 minutes to the foot of the mountain. - 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Take the cable car up and down the mountain (50 yuan one-way, 70 yuan round-trip). From the summit, Baiyunding, you can overlook the Minjiang River. If you're more energetic, you can take the thousand-year-old hiking trail down the mountain and see the cliff carvings along the way.
- 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Visit Yongquan Temple on the mountainside (40 yuan admission). The ancient temple and ancient trees create a Zen atmosphere.
- Dinner: Many new restaurants have opened at the Huimin Food Plaza at the foot of Gushan Mountain. We recommend the medicinal beef soup at Beiling Yellow Cattle Restaurant or the seafood at Wangzhuang Ami Food Stall (90 yuan per person).
Day 2: Fujian Museum + Shangxiahang (History, Culture, and Art Night Tour)
Morning: Fujian Museum
- 9:00 AM: Take Metro Line 1 to Pingshan Station, exit B, and walk 5 minutes to the museum. Open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Monday. Highlights:
- The "Fujian Underground" exhibition hall on the first floor features porcelain recovered from a Song Dynasty shipwreck – stunning!
- The "Fujian Ancient Civilization Exhibition" on the second floor features a Dehua white porcelain Guanyin statue, with flowing sleeves resembling a real person.
- At 11:30 a.m., enjoy the intangible cultural heritage meat dumpling at the nearby Tongli Meat Duckling Shop. The skin is pounded from pure meat and is chewy and fresh.
Afternoon: Shangxiahang
- At 1:30 p.m., take Metro Line 1 to Dadao Station, Exit C, and walk 7 minutes to Shangxiahang.
- From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., stroll around Santong Bridge and Yongde Guild Hall, taking photos of the bluestone pavement and red lanterns. We recommend Qiang's Fujian Cuisine Restaurant for lightly fermented snail slices and pan-fried liver in southern Fujian (NT$60 per person), or Erlongbo Peanut Soup for a smooth peanut soup with taro paste. - 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Walk 15 minutes from Shangxiahang to Zhongping Road. Stop by the retro cafe "Lusen" and sit by the window, gazing at the old houses.
Evening
- 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Shangxiahang is stunningly beautiful after the lights are on, reminiscent of a Jiangnan district! Be sure to take photos of the reflections at Santong Bridge. Some snack shops close after 8:00 PM, so if you want fish balls or pot-side porridge, get there early.
- 8:30 PM: End your trip and take a taxi back to your hotel in the city.
🌟 Notes:
1. Minyue Water Town: Remember to bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent in the summer, as mosquitoes can be prevalent at night.
2. Gushan: The cable car stops operating at 5:00 PM on Mondays and 5:30 PM on other days. It's recommended to purchase tickets two hours in advance.
3. Shangxiahang: Some old buildings are undergoing renovations, so be careful when taking photos. 4. Transportation: Taking a taxi between attractions is the most time-efficient. Metro Line 2 connects Gushan and the city center, but buses can be congested.
This arrangement allows for a relaxing trip while still allowing you to fully experience Fuzhou's history, scenery, and cuisine. Have a great time! #SonglikeJourney #Most Asked-About-Your-Friends #Outdoors #Where-to-Go-This-Weekend #Romantic-Domestic-Travel-Destinations
