Oh my! When I saw this scene, I couldn't help but compose a poem~
I specifically avoided the big holidays and went once.
I had browsed many guides and beautiful pictures before, and I can say the original scene is not exaggerated at all, it really feels like a fairyland.
And avoiding peak times, with fewer people, strolling here,
it truly feels like wandering inside a painting.
I spent two leisurely days here,
let me share my real feelings.
✅ Are the pictures deceptive?
No, whether in sunlight or not, this place naturally exudes a fairy-like aura, every step offers a picturesque view.
✅ Are there performances in the off-season?
Yes, they have performances every day, including many interactive shows and a drone show, but the fireworks display limited to big holidays is not available.
✅ Is it expensive?
I think it's moderate, after all, it's a scenic area, and the prices for food, accommodation, and activities are standardized, so you won't be cheated or overcharged.
➡️ Suggestions for visiting the scenic area
1️⃣ Transportation: There is a direct shuttle bus from Zunyi Station to Wujiang Village, visible right at the station exit, 30 RMB per person, to the East Village entrance.
2️⃣ After arriving at the service center, ask the staff for a performance schedule to follow the shows and experience them.
3️⃣ The scenic tour is a loop, no need to worry about steep climbs, it's quite easy, but not suitable for strollers.
📍📷 Two days and one night itinerary suggestion
Day 1️⃣ Mainly activity experience
Generally, activities start at 11 AM, and you can encounter them along the way anytime, feeling the vibrant Wujiang Village.
You will find that the interactive performances perfectly match the atmosphere and environment here.
Ethnic dances in the loft, skill displays on the stage, songs echoing through the village,
bamboo pole dances in the village, ethnic night parades, the evening drone show, and dancing around the bonfire with everyone~
It feels like this is how life originally was in the village.
Day 2️⃣ Leisurely and casual stroll
Take a rowboat, the emerald river ripples beneath the boat, and the stilted buildings on both banks reflect in the water.
Visit the Peaceful Dye Workshop, where the indigo-dyed cloth fluttering in the wind becomes the most beautiful backdrop.
Find a window seat in a teahouse, open the wooden window, and it’s a natural picture frame.
Go to the study room, lean by the window, and a book becomes a world.
You will also encounter many traditional intangible cultural heritages, such as fish lanterns, clay whistles, embroidery~ and you can even try making some yourself.
What touched me most on this trip to Wujiang Village was the feeling of time slowing down.
Its beauty lies not only in its mountains, waters, and architecture but also in the magic that makes time slow down.
