It's recommended to fill up before entering the park, especially since the road to Xincuo consumes a lot of fuel. Be prepared in advance to avoid stress! 🏞️ Travel Guide: 1️⃣ Basongcuo Core Attractions: Dachela Viewing Platform + Lake Heart Island The lake water is magical! Its color changes with the light—sometimes turquoise, sometimes cobalt blue, and on cloudy days, a deep blue. Surrounded by snowy mountains, though not the most famous peaks, their shapes are incredibly majestic! As a 5A scenic area, the trails and viewing platforms are well developed. The ring road around the lake is a two-way lane with good road conditions, but watch out for small animals and oncoming cars around bends～ 2️⃣ How to Explore Xincuo: Set your navigation to "Xincuo Station"! The 20 km washboard road really shakes you to question life... It's recommended to drive a 4WD off-road vehicle; although it consumes more fuel, it makes the trip much easier. The road isn't hard to drive, just bumpy, but the scenery is stunning! Snowy mountains on both sides and pastures below, with grass just sprouting and cattle already grazing～ If you go in the morning, you might encounter a "cow traffic jam," with dozens of cows blocking the road, making the experience even more memorable! Xincuo is 3 km one way, passing through pastures, snowy mountains, streams, and forests. The route is clear and easy to follow. With warm sunshine, your mood will instantly lift～ 3️⃣ Cuogao Village + Zhalagou: Same direction, excellent road conditions Starting from Jieba Village, first check in and take photos at the end of Basongcuo, then continue driving to Cuogao Village and Zhalagou. Cuogao Village is a well-known "Top Ten Most Beautiful Villages." The old village is under renovation, but you can still explore the old houses, which are very distinctive～ Zhalagou feels like an undeveloped version of Xincuo, with more expansive pastures and no fixed routes, making wandering around very free! The most stunning sight is the big snowy mountain behind the village. In the morning, sunlight hits it like a giant wall, creating a powerful visual impact!

Never expected the most beautiful scenery to be outside the scenic area! For friends without strong attachments, it’s recommended to plan your self-driving route reasonably. If you don’t plan to stay overnight in the scenic area, consider other attractions～ 🚗 Driving from Bayi Town, you pass by the Niyang River and Fozhang Sand Dunes along the way, truly breathtaking beyond words! Both spots have roadside viewing platforms, and viewing from a distance is enough for great photos📸 The Niyang River is a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River, said to be the tears of the sacred mountain～In autumn, the river water is jade-clear, with lush vegetation on both banks, perfectly embodying the “Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall” without needing any filters🖼️ Fozhang Sand Dunes are formed by strong winds piling up sand into hills, with reflections resembling Buddha’s palms pressed together, super magical! When we visited, the sun was shining brightly, and on the return trip at sunset, we saw its serene and brilliant sides—truly stunning✨ Inside the Grand Canyon scenic area, there are four bus stops: Daduka Ruins, Millennium Ancient Mulberry, Namjagbarwa Peak Viewing Platform, and Waterside Terrace. Tickets cost 150 RMB + shuttle bus 90 RMB, but the scenery is really quite ordinary, feeling sorry for the money💸 The best view surprisingly is the road to the airport!
