It is a Michelin one-star restaurant, but the lunch is very cost-effective and the price is relatively cheap. The lunch set is very good, the pumpkin soup is very good, the dessert is delicious, and the overall service is very good.
2019 London Michelin | Vol.1 | ⭐️ Galvin La Chapelle 35 Spital Square, London E1 6DY, UK Booked the Michelin one-star Galvin La Chapelle because it is located in the East End near the financial city. At lunch, every table next to me was full of gentlemen in suits talking about various company issues. The table next to me kept talking about the differences and cooperation directions between Chinese and Japanese companies. The lunch set of 38 pounds per person with a glass of port wine is quite cost-effective. In the end, including the service charge, it was less than 50 pounds per person. You can choose the bread before the meal. I think white bread tastes better. With salty butter, the soft bread tastes more flavorful! Cod&Lobster brandade, rouille&bisque The dish looked unremarkable at first. The layer of mayonnaise at the bottom tasted light but surprisingly delicious! After the middle sphere is cut open, the cod and lobster meat are mixed together like a silky texture, and a layer of something is poured on the outside and fried to make the final dish! The salty and fresh feeling of seafood is released to the extreme! Pheasant breast, pine purée, pancetta, pearl or onions & button From the beginning of this dish, I felt that the chicken breast was really tender, and with the embellishment of vegetables and onions, the sweet and salty taste was intertwined, and the flavor was very rich! Fourme d'Ambert&pickled walnut puree, grapes&celery The crispy bread is paired with pickled walnuts, grapes and celery. The presentation is quite distinctive, and there is a whole piece of cheese at the bottom, and the walnut tastes sweet! The celery feels very fresh! As a finishing touch, it is quite amazing! Overall it's pretty good, the restaurant environment is very comfortable, the chef will also go between tables to introduce some dishes or ask about the taste, the service attitude is very good!
Really a must-see punch card, delicious and healthy shop, fast!
Delicious food and lovely setting. Perfect for a date lunch out and the price of the Taste of Winter menu was very reasonable for a Michelin starred restaurant! Would highly consider revisiting when the next seasonal menu comes out.
