Patria is Spanish, meaning motherland or hometown. This is a Spanish restaurant that opens at 5:00 pm every day, which seems to add to the nostalgia in the night. It was once rated as one of the top ten restaurants in Toronto. It has high-end decoration, imported cheese, homemade bread and wine.

The seafood rice paella patria was very filling, and you had to wait 45 minutes to order it; the wagu beef meatball was super delicious; the croquetas de setas were perfectly fried with cheese and mushrooms; the grilled squid was better than the one at bar isabel; the dessert Leche Frita was a little too sweet. In summary, it is a restaurant I will go to again.

I ate the paella I had been craving for at Patria. I highly recommend it. I personally prefer the lobster version in Figure 1 because it has a stronger taste. The paella has real ingredients and lots of seafood. The grilled octopus tastes a bit strange, but the dessert is really delicious. I was so happy.

Another pleasant food experience in winter. The crowded building in Downtown is Patria's iron arch, not eye-catching. Narrow passages, lights up, warm and romantic in the snowy night. The dark lights of the Western-style restaurant, the walls have snowflakes and wallpapers, and the waiter performs a wine-savvy stunt at the neighboring table. Spanish food is indispensable for paella, and seafood and beef are selected. There are also many types of TAPAs, lobster, octopus, fish steak, spore kale, stunning beef bone marrow, traditional Spanish fried dough sticks and chocolate mousse are desserts. The right amount is suitable for Asian taste buds, and the atmosphere is romantic Western.

We had wanted to be here for a long time but in the end we were disappointed. If you want Spanish snacks, there are lots of places better than this. There are lots of fried and barbecue food on the menu. The price is quite high, especially in terms of quality and quantity - the portion is very small. We were disappointed after sharing the dishes so left before drinking - we went to the bar - and had the main course in another place. Service was terrible. The bar area was cold the curtains weren’t well connected and the hostess didn’t know how to fix it (she needed to pull it off from the top the curtains were just stuck open). The cocktail was good but we didn’t get any service. The room was nice but the execution of the waiter was terrible.

We went to Patria to taste Spanish deliciousness in the evening. The waiter was especially recommended for seafood from his hometown of PEI. I heard that we had been there and gave us a glass of champagne for free.
