Un hôtel comme on les aimes. D’un calme absolu et d’une gentillesse à toute épreuve. Alors oui, les tarifs sur les restaurants sont aussi au rendez-vous et pas à la porté de toutes les bourses. Notre chambre vue mer avec piscine privative a l’eau de mer est un must Bref, un sans faute !

A really peaceful place.

Un voyage magique, le charme des lieux, l'accueil, la gentillesse et le professionnalisme de l'équipe. Ce sont les hommes et les femmes qui créent l'art de vivre d'un lieu, le caractère et l'ambiance vécus, et Harry, le Maître de Maison, a su parfaitement s'entourer : un service qui prend soin de chaque hôte pour lui faire vivre des moments rares et précieux. Ce monsieur fait partie de ces personnes qui " ont tout simplement la classe ", un naturel qui met tout le monde à l'aise, nous nous sommes sentis accueillis comme des amis, ce qui est plus qu'appréciable. Nous nous souviendrons longtemps de ce voyage en Crète, sublimé par ces 2 jours dans ce " paradis sur terre ", infiniment merci à tous, et bonne continuation.

Un superbe établissement Magnifique établissement extrêmement bien entretenu en bord de mer avec très belles installations et un personnel aux petits soins. La piscine est superbe, la plage privée et le spa le sont également. Cet établissement est un vrai havre de paix, idéal pour des vacances romantiques et reposantes. Notez chambre était très bien équipée et très spacieuse, avec une magnifique vue sur la mer. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour.

We had a wonderful Easter here and would definitely recommend it. We stayed in one of the bungalows with a private pool (€80/day to heat it—not cheap, but worth it since the sea and main pool were pretty freezing). The sea views were absolutely stunning—from the bed, the terrace, and the pool. The layout of the bungalows is cleverly designed so you don’t see your neighbors and they don’t see you, which makes for a very private stay. Our bungalow (#6) was spacious enough for a family of three, with comfy beds, a great selection of pillows, and plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom was recently renovated, and it showed—fabulous marble,shower, bathtub. Breakfast was lovely, with a wide variety of food and great coffee. Once again, you get those amazing sea views from the breakfast room. There were plenty of water sports on offer—we tried the crazy sofa and jet ski, both loads of fun. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with thoughtful landscaping that in some areas makes it feel more like a little village than a resort. The beach and rocks were lovely too—clear water and plenty of deck chairs. Only downside: the beach bar prices. €5.50 for a tiny cappuccino in a paper cup felt a bit much. We really appreciated the tasteful interior design—1980s modernism, but it didn’t feel dated at all. Quite the opposite, actually—we loved it. The nearby village, with plenty of decent restaurants, is about a 20-minute walk. Did it once on a sunny day (a bit too hot) and drove after that. Huge shout-out to the brilliant staff—from reception to waiters, concierge, parking, water sports, and housekeeping. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Well done Elounda Mare!

Great hotel in a lovely location however it would have been nice to have been told of the construction site next door, difficult to relax by the beach when the noise of diggers can be heard in the back ground

Alles is gewoon top Zoals iedereen op Kreta erg vriendelijke medewerkers oprecht gastvrij. Een unieke ligging met een waanzinnig zicht. De woning die we hadden met verwarmd zwembad was gewoon het einde. Alleen kan er wat gedaan worden aan de inboorlingen dinning wat meer echt Grieks koken hadden we fijn gevonden alhoewel de gebrachte gerechten perfect waren. Wij komen zeker terug en liefst elk jaar dikke proficiat

We loved our two week break at Elounda Mare. We were in a one bedroom suite in the main hotel building, overlooking the pool and the sea beyond. The suite was a little bit tired in places, but very comfortable and clean with good housekeeping. The balcony extended across both the living room and bedroom and was spacious with great views. It was worth an early start to watch the sunrise. As others have commented the grounds are lovely and very well tended. There are a lot of steps and slopes as the hotel is set into a hill which drops down to the sea. Some lovely places to sit on the shore with steps into the sea, as well as the sandy beach. It was a 25 minute walk into town which we did several times, lots of nice restaurants on the water front. We liked Ferryman the best. Taxis are plentiful if you don’t fancy the walk back. The hotel bar was usually quiet, but pleasant with a nice terrace area outside. The boat round to the sister hotel was a nice little trip and the Italian restaurant there was very good. We enjoyed all the meals we had the hotel, breakfast was vey good with a wide choice and fantastic views. This was the only place where the hotel felt busy as a lot of the accommodation is in private bungalows/villas with their own pools. So the main pool was always very quiet and it was always possible to find a good spot by the sea, even though the hotel was apparently fully booked for most of the time we were there. The mid-October weather was beautiful. We hired a car and explored most of the eastern end of the island, which I would recommend.

Relais & Chateaux strikes again! What an incredible stay. We had a bungalow with a private heated pool and sea view. The water taxi service to the various restaurants onsite (there are several restaurants), The quiet, serene setting, the amazing sunrise and friendly staff are to be commended. There is taxi service available to town which made it perfect for enjoying the tranquil setting and still be able to get in to town for the amazing cuisine.

Das Hotel ist einfach ein Tarum. Legerer Luxus, tolle Zimmer/Suiten, tolles Ambeite, vorzügliches Frühstüch und wahnsinnig nettes Personal.* Sehr bequeme Coco Mat Matrazen sichern guten Schlaf. Frühstück mit vielen regionalen Produkten - Nebenkosten über dem Durschnitt in Kreta - aber man bekommt sehr guten Service und Produkte mit Qualität - dann zahle ich gerne mal etwas mehr
