Holiday Inn, owned by InterContinental, has always been the first choice for working families to go on vacation. The breakfast, bedding, hygiene and service are quite satisfactory. Fortunately, I was able to enjoy the bar concert in the ventilation duct for free for 2 consecutive nights, which was full of Mexican flavor! However, the deposit has not been returned after 2 weeks!

We are staying here for a short time after sending our children to school. In a strange city and country, we need a hotel that is comfortable, friendly, close to the school, and has a large space. This store fit our needs perfectly and the decor and generosity of the great Texas decor is evident in many ways. The room is quite large. The one we stayed in is on the second floor and has the largest terrace. It is a particularly slow-paced enjoyment to watch the cars passing by in the morning and evening, and to look at the University Bell Tower in the distance. Breakfast is all you can eat, service is good

Went here with family and the stay was amazing. There wasn't much around the location but the room was great. The staff gave us a free upgrade so we definitely enjoyed our time.

My entire stay was first class. The location is central and close to major venues in downtown. The lobby and common spaces were very clean. The gym and pool were amazing, clean, and top tier. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet. I would definitely return to the Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta.

This is a well run hotel with attentive staff who are always eager to please. Jonathan, on the front desk, deserves a special mention - he could not do enough for us!

Good environment, clean and tidy, cost-effective, and free self-parking fee at the back. 5 minutes drive to the State Parliament, close to the city expressway, convenient transportation, worth recommending!

GGuest UserThis hotel has so many intangibles. Being a boutique the experience feels very tailored and relaxing. I could spend all day at the pool but there is so much within walking distance to take advantage of. I'm so glad we had my wife's birthday here and had friends from out of town to join us. Because of the location, clean sophisticated style, and attention to detail I would classify it as a premiere downtown experience for those looking to soak up all that downtown Austin has to offer.

AAnonymous UserWe loved staying here! It was my first time in Austin, and the hotel is close to everything. You can drive or walk to different places.
The beds were super comfortable! It was also cool to have a kitchenette inside the room, with glassware, a refrigerator, microwave, and utensils that are essential to us. Service is topnotch as well.
The only downside is that their walls are pretty thin. We could hear our neighbor talking and watching TV. I suggest bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, just in case!

LloadwellThe hotel is located on Second Street in downtown Austin, and the surrounding transportation and food are very convenient. There are many restaurants, but there is no Chinese food. In addition, the breakfast in the hotel is average, and there is no European hotel number.

GGuest UserMy friend and I decided to take a random road trip to Austin and we kept going in out of our room. Our car was parked in valet but even though we kept coming and leaving the valet and hotel staff was always super nice to us! Hotel was very clean and calm. Was a great stay.

GGuest UserI came to Austin for a business trip and lived here. In the business district, it is not too far from various attractions and famous restaurants. The overall is not bad. I will choose it next time.

MMatthewThe room's AC was inconsistent, difficult to find the right temperature.
The room we had was right behind the elevators so it was hard to sleep hearing them going nonstop til 3am.
The bathroom was also extremely dark and hard to even see yourself in the mirror.

GGuest UserThis place is not really a hotel. It gives off more of a motel vibe. The building is heavily outdated, with crumbling walls and stains. Our room was average. Bed was comfortable and clean. Our room had a little bit of trash in it (candy wrappers, etc). The toilet did not flush for me and there was peeling wall paper in the bathroom. Shower temperature was poor and was only lukewarm at best. I most likely will not stay here again. The facilities need a huge update.
