ممستخدم نزيلArrived after a 4 hour delay on our train, when we told desk staff they where very helpful even gave us a complementary drink. All areas we used where very clean.
We had a low level Queen room i thought it was a bit small and basic for the price we paid (£180) 2chairs desk big tv and bed. No view except the wall of the street.I was awake from 6am as room was under dining area and I think kitchen could hear banging and chairs scraping the floor.
We where both very disappointed with breakfast..
The full English just wasn't! Scrambled egg, sausage bacon grilled tomato and hash brown and beans poor quality products and hash browns and tomes had run out a waite was over 5mins with rest of food going cold on plate. So did with out. Cold meat and cheese !!! Processed ham and cheese tasteless...what happend to local products?
Staff where lovely at all times and located close to station

ممستخدم نزيلWe booked a standard double as we only wanted somewhere to have dinner and lay our heads to break 2 long journeys. We were prepared for a 'tired' looking room and it was, in fact just that. HOWEVER, both the room and bathroom were spotless; the bed absolutely huge with nice linens and the shower in the morning was spot on for temperature. Service from beginning to end was fantastic and, though I didn't have it myself, my husband said the breakfast was excellent. We travel both locally and internationally a lot and i rarely comment as many 4-5* hotels just go through the motions however, I wanted to give this hotel and team a well deserved shout out. We shall certainly be back and recommend to anyone looking for a very good place to stay on the outskirts of York.

ممستخدم مجهولRoom was good, loved that the leisure centre was open till late so could get time at the pool and jacuzzi even after sight seeing. Breakfast was great, nice continental selection, and a picturesque view from the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
A potential improvement could be the hot water control in the shower - ours was a Deluxe room with bath. The temperature was either scalding hot or ice cold - there was no in-between.

ممستخدم نزيلHotel is situated right opposite Clifton tower and is conveniently located within. The city centre - walking distance to the Shambles and other attractions. The parking situation is problematic - although aware it is first come first served, there is nowhere available to park up and ask except the three spaces in front of the hotel and if taken, you end up circling the road for an absolutely age before a space becomes available. If no parking on site end up parking over the road on public car park which is inconvenient as keep having to work out when to renew. The cleanliness is a slight issue, we thought there was dust on surfaces but more likely to be cloth fibres from the cleaners but still don't expect shedding like this. Room was fine but did think bathroom was on the smaller side for a double deluxe room. Service in general was good - couldn't really fault.
