Awesome experience, the staff was great. Had the opportunity of meeting the owner himself. A great person. If you are looking for a place to relax around a fire and look at the stars and just forget about the busy world, then this will be for you.

For a quiet relaxing break in tranquil surroundings Seven Fountains farm about a 20 minutes drive from Grahamstown is ideal. The young Dutch host, Daan is charming and attentive. The food served is delicious with the coffee being as good as available in the Netherlands. We will certainly be back!

We booked this farm stay in March after much consultation with the manager Daan and looking at current reviews. It seemed perfect to have some downtime and do safari. I contacted the property before arrival about meals etc and was responded to but not by Daan. Thought nothing of it dinner was confirmed for arrival. We drove from Storms River so arrived early evening. Drove in but thought it must be wrong place as very run down long grass, loose dogs barking and no sign of life. Then a woman appeared who showed us rooms. The first was creepy so she showed us others all the doors were open and available! She then said we hadn’t booked dinner and we couldn’t have as she had nothing to cook? With a restaurant? Eventually she agreed to get some food and give us dinner. At that point we wanted to leave but we were miles from anywhere, in the bush, and it was dark. We were then told the owners had returned to Netherlands and Daan had left. Dinner was actually good. Unlike sleep which wasn’t forthcoming and I was bitten badly. There was a problem with hot water. We had breakfast then told the chef we were leaving. We had prepaid of course through a large company but struggling now to get a refund. The whole experience was awful and has cost us dearly to find alternative accommodation at short notice.
