”البقاء في هذا المنزل في مدينة شاكسي القديمة كان مثل السير في لوحة هادئة، مشرفة على الوقت. كانت العمارة مبهرة ومزينة بتصميم صيني تقليدي، وعمل خشبي معقد، وبيئة تنقلني إلى عصر آخر. وكان كل زاوية من الزاوية محسوبة بفكرة، وخلطت بين الأناقة والتراث في انسجام تام. وكان البناء في صميم العمارة يُعَد مثالاً للحياة. كانت ضيافة الفندق مميزة حقا، فقد استقبلني المضيفون بحفاوة حقيقية واهتمام مستمر، يضمنون أن اقامتي كانت لا تنقص شيئا عن الكمال. كانت غرفتي بمثابة الملاذ للراحة، ومجهزة بكل وسائل الراحة العصرية، مع الحفاظ على سحرها الثقافي. شكرا جزيلا على هذه الزيارة الرائعة. أقامتى فى الفندق لمدة اربع ليالي , فى هذا الفندق وجدته مناسبا حيث انه يقع فى وسط البلدة القديمة , الموقع كان يحلم بان تحققه فكل صباح أستيقظت لاحضى حفلة واخترت بين افطار صيني راق او غربى مبهج , كل التجهيزات كانت مجهزة بالرعاية الشديدة والكماليات المذاق . هذه المبيت ليست مجرد مكان للبقاء؛ بل هي بوابة للتاريخ والثقافة والضيافة القلبية. موصى بها بشدة لمن يبحث عن الغوص في سحر شاكسي! ”*

2024.09 We discovered a charming new homestay in Shaxi, conveniently located within walking distance of Shaxi Ancient Town, the filming location for the drama series ”Meet Yourself 去有风的地方.” During our visit, we noticed many tourists capturing photos at the various shooting locations, adding a lively atmosphere to the area. Unlike Dali Ancient Town, Shaxi feels less commercialized, which enhances its authentic charm. One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying a marvelous mushroom hotpot at Tea Horse Road; it was definitely worth every penny. The flavors were exquisite, and the experience was truly memorable. Our room was clean and well-equipped with modern bathroom amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, one minor discomfort was that the toilet did not have a door, which might be a consideration for some guests. The owner of the homestay was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They brewed a delightful welcome tea for us and provided hot milk, which was a lovely touch. Additionally, they assisted us in arranging transportation from Shaxi to Lijiang, making our travel plans much easier. Overall, our experience at the homestay was enjoyable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and authentic stay in Shaxi. 我们在沙溪发现了一家迷人的新民宿，位置便利，步行即可到达电视剧《去有风的地方》的拍摄地沙溪古镇。在我们入住期间，我们注意到许多游客在各个拍摄地点拍照，为该地区增添了热闹的氛围。与大理古镇不同，沙溪的商业化程度较低，这增强了其地道魅力。 我们住宿期间的亮点之一是在茶马古道享用美味的蘑菇火锅；绝对物有所值。味道绝佳，体验令人难忘。 我们的房间干净整洁，配有现代化的浴室设施，确保住宿舒适。然而，一个小小的不适是厕所没有门，这可能是一些客人的考虑因素。 民宿主人非常友好热情。他们为我们冲泡了美味的迎宾茶，并提供了热牛奶，这是一个贴心的举动。此外，他们还帮助我们安排从沙溪到丽江的交通，使我们的旅行计划更加轻松。总体而言，我们在民宿的体验非常愉快，我们强烈推荐给那些想在沙溪享受舒适而真实的住宿的人.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was perfect. The location is great as it is a short walk to the heart of the old town. There is vehicular access to the back door of the hotel so it was easy for luggage handling. It is also close to the Friday market. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a welcome tea that included very quintessential Chinese teatime munchies. The staff were very welcoming and warm. They made sure our every need was well taken care of from the moment we arrived until our departure. We were first warmly greeted by the lovely ladies, 林妹妹 and 小妹妹 from ***** who helped to check on car booking for our tour. 小邱 greeted us every morning with warm cups of fragrant coffee. We had interesting conversation with him where we learnt a lot about Bai culture and Shaxi, including that the lane beside the hotel is part of the ancient Tea Horse Trail. 做饭张阿姨 made very tasty 饵块 noodles and she went out of her way to cater to our specific dietary request. All-in a very great experience for us.

Absolutely loved this hostel! The atmosphere is super cozy, and the cute courtyard gives it a real old-town feel. The bed was incredibly comfortable — honestly the best sleep I’ve had in China so far. Mattress heating was a game changer, and for the first time I could actually charge my devices from my bed using my European adapter. The showers and toilets are a bit separate from the room, but that didn’t bother me at all. There’s plenty of space and always a nice, hot shower. Another great perk is the 5 RMB laundry, which is super convenient. The best part was the complimentary tea you can help yourself to every day, and the accessories rack where you’re free to borrow shawls, hats, and bags. Would 100% recommend staying here!
