This is a beautiful and charming boutique homestay. It’s located within Lijiang Old Town but away from the noisy center, making it both convenient and wonderfully tranquil.
Our room wasn’t large, but it had everything we needed. What impressed me most were the lush green plants, the exquisite decorations, and the cozy dining areas—both indoors and outdoors.
The service is excellent. The hotel provides both pick-up and drop-off services, which is very convenient. Afternoon tea with desserts and fruits is a lovely bonus. Breakfast is included and is both nutritious and flavorful. The free ethnic costume experience was delightful, and the Pu’er tea–making activity was educational and fun.
Jingzi is especially friendly and helpful. She arranged our transfers flawlessly and was always there whenever we needed assistance.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful room, all amenities present, picturesque surroundings, we had beautiful mountain views
Great service, helped with tourist bookings and day to day planning, ting ting was fantastic throughout the stay with thoughtful and fast response to all of our questions.
Location perfect, direct easy 5mins from south east gate for any external excursions, but less than 15mins from the market square so you have quiet surroundings while being near all the crowds and attractions.

Our stay at the Fog Gallery Hotel was truly unforgettable. The service was above and beyond — every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The lady at the reception (possibly the owner) went out of her way to ensure we were completely comfortable throughout our stay, and her warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome.
The ambience of the hotel is simply out of this world — calm, artistic, and beautifully in tune with the charm of Lijiang Ancient Town. You can tell that a lot of heart and effort has been poured into every corner of the place.
The location couldn’t be better, right within the ancient town, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area while still feeling peaceful and private.
The café at the hotel is also lovely — a perfect spot to relax after a day of wandering through the old town’s cobbled streets.
Overall, this was one of our most memorable stays in Yunnan. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we visit Lijiang. Highly recommended!

Host is friendly and helpful. After I confirmed my booking, he immediately msg me cos he wanted to arrange transport to pick me up from the railway station. The property is conveniently located in the ancient town. There is a nice garden within the property. Host upgraded my room during my stay. It is clean and spacious with modern amenities. There is a bar cum restaurant facing the riverside. It’s nice and cosy while dining at the restaurant. The host also helped to book for the tour to jade dragon mountain and the Lijiang impression show. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Appreciate the host’s hospitality.

This place is very cozy and clean. It’s perfectly located inside the ancient town, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops, yet still quiet and peaceful. Taxis are just a short walk away. The staff were all incredibly helpful and kind—they arranged a late-night airport pick-up, helped us book a wonderful mountain tour, and shared many great recommendations. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended for a couple of extra nights. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience at this hotel. The host, 老易, was very friendly and experienced in helping us with getting comfortable and organising our itinerary. It was very easy to communicate with them via WeChat (added prior to our stay, called through with trip.com first). Would highly recommend!

Amazing location, clean rooms, laundry accessible, very friendly staff.
We had a great time, this is not far from the eastern entry gate, only about 900m walk, in the old city. The views and area around here are great, they have a traditional set meal for breakfast, and the hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly.
Will come again in the future.
