The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay, always available 24/7 to assist with anything we needed, which made us feel well taken care of. The location is also a big plus—just a short and pleasant walk to the ancient city, making it convenient for sightseeing and exploring. However, one area that could definitely be improved is the condition of the rooms. While they were clean and functional, they felt a bit dated and in need of refurbishment to match the level of service and location. With some updates, this place has great potential to be even better.

The room looks luxury. The staff is very nice. Prepare the bag of breakfast for us since we have to leave the hotel at 6.00 am.

This is a great property with interesting modernist architecture and a great view of the Jade Mountain (weather permitting). The bar offered a limited selection of liquor, beer, and coffee. Rooms came with bottled water and clean sandals.
It is a short walk up a hill from the north gate of Lijiang Ancient City. There is a nice coffee shop across the parking lot.
Staff service was excellent, good communication (despite limited English) via WeChat before and during the stay. They helped arrange drivers for me.
The main downside was that the pool had a lot of algae growing in it. I was still willing to go in, but it wouldn't have been suitable for kids.

Staffs are friendly and attentive to requests. However, the rooms needs improvement. On our first night, there is something wrong with the heater, constant buzzing sound throughout the night. Staff changed the room for us the next day. However, the heater is not working leaving us cold the whole night and there is some sewage smell coming from the toilet. View from the room is awesome though. Breakfast js decent or near below average.

Our bookings were upgraded and the hotel service was very personal. They offered free hotel pick up and took the initiative to check a day before our arrival. Location is walking distance to the old town and black dragon pool. The person in charge 欢欢 took very good care of us from providing tips on our itinerary to driver booking and day trips etc. The view from the rooms are just amazing! Would recommend anyone to consider this hotel.

Spent two nights here, and honestly, it was such a great experience! The staff were amazing—super friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with whatever I needed. They're reachable via WeChat 24x7.
Location-wise, it’s perfect—just a short walk to Lijiang Ancient Town, which made exploring effortless. Plus, there’s a convenience store nearby, great for grabbing oxygen tanks before heading up to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Speaking of the mountain—the hotel offers a direct view of it, and it’s absolutely stunning!
The amenities were top-notch, and there were so many facilities in the hotel, but unfortunately, I didn’t have time to try them all. Still, everything looked well-maintained and inviting. The hotel’s renovation really shows—it’s cozy, stylish, and blends perfectly with the surroundings.
The room looked exactly like the photos—100% accurate. No surprises, no misleading promos—it was exactly as advertised, which is always a huge plus.
Breakfast was simple but comforting, and the owner’s warmth made it feel extra special. It wasn’t fancy, but you could tell it was made with love.
Overall, IAN Pin Su Hotel is a fantastic place to stay—great location, wonderful people, an incredible view, and a beautifully designed space. Would totally come back!

The hotel is a beautiful designed one. And let me start with the biggest negative point, it lacks maintenance. Drywall coming loose, tiles missing, green fungus growing in the pool, weeds showing. If the hotel could fix this, it will be a great hotel.
Another thing is that in the description, a gym is mentioned, but this is no longer the case.
With all the negativity out of the way, the staff is friendly, offer tea and shuttle service, you can use the hot tub, great pool and the breakfast was also very nice.
Opposite the hotel is a huge coffee place and the hotel is close to the ancient part of the city and a beautiful park.
