La propiedad en general está bien, pero usan varios trucos para hacerte pagar mucho más por tu estancia, que a cualquier viajero incomodan. Te dejan un hoja donde hábilmente te hacen pensar que hay un desayuno "gratias" y otro de pago, el de pago cuesta 15 libras y es pequeño, el problema es que esperas a que empieces a consumirlo que parece un desayuno gratis y al final te cobran 10 libras por una corn flakes. El segundo trucos es que la propiedad tiene un pequeño parqueadero en la parte de atrás, bastante rustico, y al momento de hacer el check out te informan que vale 10 pounds por día, pudiendo uno parquear en la calle al frente del hotel de manera gratuita. Son detalles que dejan ver la mala fe con que actúan los dueños para sacarte tu dinero, pues solo anuncian todos estos cargos al finalizar tu estadía o cuando ya has usado lo que claramente parece gratis.

The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!

The overall are very good, for me personally I like the high quality bedding and bed sheets, they are made with mare cottons, my body is not too good with polyester or other non-organic material.

It was a lovely guest house and a delicious breakfast made the St George's Hotel a perfect place to stay whilst visiting york. A special mention to Alison who was very friendly and it was a lovely gift of a birthday cake for my wife's birthday presented to my wife at breakfast and then all the guests started to sing Happy Birthday. No hesitation staying again for our next visit to York.

Excellent hotel Lovely place to stay. Room was spotless. You could tell entering the room that the couple who own the property were truly passionate about the hotel. Nice little extras like biscuits/chocolate/shampoo/shower gel. Nice selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Hotel in a nice location - 1 mile walk from train station, quiet nice area near race course, but also close to City Centre

Great location, welcomed by Alison who is lovely and helpful. Room was warm, quiet, clean and the tea and coffee amenities were quality products. Bathroom was clean although shower needed tightening as it was slipping from holder, which we did ourselves it didn't effect the use. Definitely stay again.

Had a brilliant overnight stay.Alison was very welcoming and made us feel at home straight away.We were early for the 2 o'clock checkin but Alison gave us the key for our room so we could drop our bags there.The room was lovely,very clean and with a lovely selection of teas/coffee and biscuits.We had a brilliant nights sleep in the large bed as did our granddaughter in the single sofa bed.We will definitely book this hotel again on our next trip to York. i

The room was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor. The staff were really helpful and welcoming I would definitely stay here again when visiting York.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Allison was the perfect host and made us feel right at home. The bed was incredibly comfortable (and huge), we both had a cracking nights sleep. We decided against breakfast, but it smelled insane so will give it a try next time.

The house was lovely and clean, Alison could not do enough for her guests and made everyone feel special. I would highly recommend, its close to town but quiet in the evening. Thank you again Alison for making our trip to York a memorable one

What a lovely hotel I had a very enjoyable 2 night mid week break. The hotel is down a dead end road so is nice and quite. Very easy to get to York city centre, only a 15 minute walk or if you prefer there is an ample bus service from a bus stop about 200 meters away (though it can be just as quick to walk in rush hour!). The staff were faultless and very helpfully with information (it helped that they where locals!). I would defiantly stay here again.

Well worth a look Great place, nice room and close to city and attractions. Good access, places to eat close enough to walk.

Highly recommend! Amazing staff that are clearly deadicated and love their jobs! Super friendly, warm and welcoming! The beds are amazing best sleep ive had in years! Only thing i would change is the curtains to black out curtains but apart from that it was amazing super cute garden too and walking distance to the city centre

Great guesthouse Lovely room. Clean, tidy, and a comfortable bed. Regular buses into town. Also a reasonable, safe walk into and back from town.
