Xi'an!! Xi'an!! The newly opened cliff garden restaurant is amazing. Live Enjoy the autumn in the mountains. It's so chill to have tea by the stove. The newly opened cliff restaurant in Bailuyuan is amazing (brand new). Enjoy the fresh air in a place without a ceiling, and play with two cute little sheep. No minimum spend, Western food, coffee, and Thai food. The view is even more beautiful on a sunny day, and you can take 100 photos. The outdoors is my spiritual sanctuary. Shaanxi

City C Debut Plan | Night View of Yongning Gate of Xi'an City Wall

Yongning Gate of Xi'an City Wall, also known as the South Gate as referred by the locals, is a must-visit spot for tourists in Xi'an. This place has been a reception for important guests from ancient times to the present. You can climb the city wall from Yongning Gate when you come to Xi'an, and the city opening ceremony outside the city gate is also worth seeing. The city wall is 13.7 kilometers long and is divided into east, west, south, and north gates. Yongning Gate is a good place for taking photos, especially when night falls, the lights here are dazzling and eye-catching. Whether you are taking photos on the city wall or around Yongning Gate, it's a great place for photography. The best time to take photos is after sunset, during the twilight hour. It is recommended to start climbing the city wall at this time and keep shooting until the night lights illuminate the entire city wall. The night view of the city wall is very good!

Xi'an 4-Day Itinerary|The Charm of the Ancient Capital of 13 Dynasties

Xi'an 4-Day Itinerary|The Charm of the Ancient Capital of 13 Dynasties

🌟 Xi'an has a long history and is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation. It is also the starting point of the Silk Road. Thirteen dynasties have established their capitals here, so it is called the "Ancient Capital of 13 Dynasties". Xi'an is one of the four ancient capitals of the world, along with Rome, Athens, and Cairo. 🌟 We stayed at the Mehood Lestie Hotel Xi'an Muslim Street Flagship Store. The hotel is very cost-effective, with breakfast included for around CNY 600. The location of Muslim Street is very good, and it is very convenient to get to popular hotels. 🌟 Itinerary: 1⃣️ On the first day, we flew from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Xi'an Xianyang Airport and rested for a while. The first stop was the Shaanxi History Museum. The museum is difficult to book, so we booked it in advance on the mini program. Isn't a free museum great? It's worth the money. If you really can't get a ticket, buy a special exhibition ticket and hire a tour guide. The Shaanxi Museum is huge, and there are so many precious cultural relics. You should spend at least three or four hours here and listen to the explanations carefully. The kids were very satisfied with the Muslim Street and the nearby Xi'an snacks. We had dinner directly at the Muslim Street snacks. The kebabs and roujiamo have crispy outer skins and are filled with fresh and juicy marinated meat. The lamb paomo is made with high-quality lamb and special mo pieces, which are rich in nutrients. Liangpi is divided into rice skin and hand-rolled skin, and you can try both. 2⃣️ On the second day, we took a taxi to the Terracotta Warriors in the morning. We visited the Terracotta Warriors of the First Emperor of Qin early in the morning. Each terracotta warrior is lifelike, and the exquisite craftsmanship of the Qin Dynasty is amazing. The shooting warriors and kneeling warriors recreate the glory of the army back then. In the afternoon, we visited Huaqing Palace, which is a royal palace with a long history. It is said to be the place where Yang Guifei bathed. The royal garden and bathhouse show that bathing in ancient times was very ceremonial. 3⃣️ On the third day, we took a taxi to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the morning. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built by the famous Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang to preserve Buddhist scriptures. We climbed the pagoda to overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire Xi'an city. Then we went to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a 20-minute drive away. It was built during the Jinglong period of the Tang Dynasty and is an important symbol of the Tang Chang'an City that has been preserved to this day, along with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The thousand-year-old pagoda is full of charm. In the afternoon, we visited the Forest of Stone Steles Museum, which has a large number of steles and stone carvings. It cultivated the children's sentiments, and we admired the craftsmanship of ancient craftsmen who left us endless treasures. In the evening, we visited the Grand Tang Mall. The Chinese clothing performances in Xi'an are dazzling, and the lights are brilliant and beautiful. 4⃣️ On the fourth day, we visited the Tang Paradise, a cultural park built in the style of the Tang Dynasty. We wore Tang Dynasty costumes and took photos, as if we had traveled back to the Tang Dynasty under the lanterns. In the afternoon, we rented bicycles and rode around the Xi'an City Wall, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the ancient city. We imagined the great rivers and mountains of the emperors back then, and the wheels of history rolled away. After a day of sightseeing, we went home.

Shaanxi Province Museum: A Glimpse into Ancient China's Capitals from the 11th to 10th Century BC

Shaanxi Province is located in the inland region of China. You might recognize it as the location of the ancient capital Chang'an during the Tang Dynasty. However, its history stretches much further back, from the 11th century BC to the 10th century AD, serving as the capital for 14 dynasties including the Western Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang. The Shaanxi Museum showcases this rich history, making it a fascinating place to visit. The museum features intriguing exhibits such as the terracotta cavalry and civil officials from the Qin Shi Huang era (around 200 BC), the painted goose and fish lamp from the Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD) designed to absorb smoke, and various Buddha statues. The Tang Dynasty sculptures are particularly vibrant and often depict humorous postures, making them a delight to observe. It's astonishing to learn that Chinese characters were invented around 1200 BC. By 200 BC, the characters used in different regions varied greatly. However, when Qin Shi Huang unified China, he also standardized the characters. Despite the vast differences in spoken dialects across China today (which are not just regional accents but can be completely unintelligible to speakers from other areas), the written language remains consistent in grammar and characters, thanks to Qin Shi Huang. Address: 91 Xiaozhai East Road, Yanta District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China Access: 10-minute walk from Xiaozhai Station on Metro Line 2 Opening Hours: Winter (November 15 - March 14): 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Summer (March 15 - November 14): 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM Closed: Mondays (except public holidays) Admission: Free (reservation required via WeChat)

The Terracotta Army: A Journey Through Time and Space

The Terracotta Army: A Journey Through Time and Space

📍The Terracotta Army is a sight to behold🟤||There were too many people today As the "cover figure" of history textbooks, no matter how many times you've seen pictures of the Terracotta Army, it doesn't diminish the awe of stepping into the museum and facing the awe-inspiring army that has been asleep for thousands of years! Unified writing, unified roads. Who would have thought that the "servant" who raised horses for the Zhou king, the Qin king, would rise to power after six generations, sweep through the six states, and establish an unparalleled empire, becoming the first emperor. It's both admirable and regrettable! Admire the exquisite craftsmanship and lifelike faces that allow us to see our ancestors from thousands of years ago; Regret the majestic bodies clad in colorless armor, reminding us that the path to preserving history is still long and arduous! Seeing history, relying on history, hoping that we can find solace in history during times of loneliness, and draw endless strength from it.

Xi'an and the Terra-cotta Soldiers, China

Xi'an and the Terra-cotta Soldiers, China

I went during the off season (November) which I highly recommend. I've heard in the summer the building these soldiers are in can be extremely hot and crowded. In November is was a little chilly but you didn't need more than a sweater, no lines for anything and at most you had two people infant of you so just wait a second and they will move and you will have the view you wanted. The soldiers are amazing, I couldn't believe how incredible they are but also that they are colored which is something I never knew. Its unfortunate that some lost their colors and others are being protected out of sight. Maybe one day we will be able to see them in all their colourful glory again.

Xi'an

Xi'an

Xi'an has many interesting places. Due to limited time, I only visited a few of them. In the morning, I first went to Huaqing Pool. Maybe because I didn't follow a tour guide, I left after wandering around for half an hour. Without understanding the history and story background, I then went to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the First Emperor of Qin. Following the guide's steps and listening to his explanation, I felt it was very worthwhile and learned a lot. Xi'an's attractions are three parts sightseeing and seven parts listening. In other places, you might be able to tour around by yourself, but in Xi'an, you might leave within half an hour if you tour by yourself, which is meaningless. You must follow the guide's steps. After leaving the Mausoleum of the First Emperor of Qin, it was already evening. I went to the Drum Tower and Bell Tower. These two places are not far apart, and there are really a lot of people. The photos will definitely look good. Then I went to the city wall for a walk. The city wall is really long and it's not very realistic to walk. Later, I went to the Tang Dynasty Everbright City, which is very close to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda has a music fountain at seven and nine o'clock in the evening, which is quite beautiful, but there are a bit too many people. I have to talk about this Tang Dynasty Everbright City. It's really different!!! Very interesting with performances and singing, and there are all kinds of small shops next to it. If you come to Xi'an, you must come to the Tang Dynasty Everbright City to experience it. No matter how much you talk about it or see it, it's better to experience it yourself.
