[Otoko Sengen Shrine/Tochigi Prefecture] A magnificent view awaits you when you climb Ashikaga Fuji

Otoko Sengen Shrine in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 This shrine is said to have been enshrined in 1054 when Ashikaga Castle was built by Ashikaga Nariyuki, the first head of the Fuji-surname Ashikaga clan. The peaks where the two shrines are located were cut off when the road and railway were built in 1902 to bridge the Watarase River. The official name is Ashikaga Fuji Sengen Shrine, and there are two shrines, Kaminomiya (Otoko Sengen) and Shimonomiya (Onna Sengen). Otoko Sengen is at a higher elevation and has a trailhead, so you can start climbing from there. The footing is not too bad, so it is relatively easy to climb. Although there is a slight incline, you can reach the summit in just over 10 minutes. There is a shrine at the top of the mountain, and the surrounding area is a beautiful sight when you look around. If the weather is good, you can see a row of famous mountains, including Mount Akagi, Mount Myogi, and Mount Haruna. You can also see the city of Ashikaga and the Kanto Plain.
