See Qing Dynasty history at the Summer Palace

#2024Travel Review I came here in the golden autumn. The autumn leaves are so colorful. In the Summer Palace, it is full of golden color. All the beauty is unexpectedly encountered in the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace is a large-scale royal landscape garden, and is known as one of the "Four Famous Gardens of China" along with the Chengde Mountain Resort, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Lingering Garden. It was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1998. The long corridor in the park is the longest gallery in the world, with a total length of 728 meters. The paintings on the corridor are exquisite Chinese landscape paintings. There are Chinese-style paintings of landscapes, flowers and birds, myths and legends on each beam. It can be said to be ingenious. Walking into the corridor and looking at the beam paintings on the corridor, people wandering in the corridor, looking up and down, left and right, each picture is a landscape, and it is worth our careful appreciation and savoring. In the middle of the corridor is Paiyun Hall, where Cixi celebrated her birthday. Inside is the Tower of Buddhist Incense, which is a place for worshiping Buddha. You can climb to the top to overlook Kunming Lake, the Seventeen-Arch Bridge and Nanhu Island. This is truly a magnificent royal garden and the pinnacle of Chinese gardens. Renshou Hall was where Empress Dowager Cixi governed the country and received foreign guests. Then we went to Yulan Hall, where Cixi imprisoned Guangxu after the failure of the Reform Movement of 1898. Yiyun Hall was the residence of Guangxu's three wives and concubines. Leshou Hall with a vast courtyard was where Cixi lived on a daily basis. The cranes, deer and vases in the front yard each represent six directions of peace and prosperity. It looks very magnificent and is also the most luxurious place in the Summer Palace. Zhichun Pavilion is the best place to view the moon from far and near. It was not until this visit to the Summer Palace that I realized that this magnificent royal garden has breathtaking scenery. It is no wonder that the Qing emperors and Empress Dowager Cixi often came to the garden for vacation and did not necessarily stay in the Forbidden City for long. This was once the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty. Today, visiting the Summer Palace can be considered as exploring the history of the Qing Dynasty. The best way to explore the Summer Palace is to visit it in person! #familytravel #Explore the Summer Palace #China's largest royal landscape garden
