The country folks thought there was only one entrance to West Lake! !

#AprilGoodDestinations2025 I took a taxi to the West Lake Scenic Area, and a bunch of options popped up. I didn't know which one to choose. The lady at the hotel reception suggested going to the Broken Bridge, saying that many people also start their trip from there. So I arrived at the West Lake in a daze. I understood it when I got off the bus. West Lake is huge and has no specific entrance, just like looking at Victoria Harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui. The scenery is super beautiful. There are no fences on the shore, and the lake is right at your feet. Boats of different sizes shuttle right in front of you. Looking behind the mountains surrounding the lake, there is only blue sky and white clouds, and no modern high-rise buildings. If there weren't so many "modern" tourists passing by you, you would believe that you were in ancient times. We strolled around the West Lake for more than two hours. The scenery along the way was picturesque and the breeze was very pleasant. We were not too obsessed with finding different attractions to check in, nor did we expect to take those beautiful photos on the platform. West Lake has different beauty in different seasons, times and weather. If you really want to take photos posted on the platform, then you have to do more homework and choose the right season and time to come. For example, you can only see the "Snow on the Broken Bridge" when it snows in winter, and you can only see the "Sunset on Leifeng Pagoda" when the sky is clear and the sun is setting. #West Lake #Snow on Broken Bridge #Sunset over Leifeng Pagoda
