Traditional Beijing Duck 🦆 in Central, Hong Kong

Invited to Peking Garden for lunch; a treat! This restaurant is truly in the beating heart of Central, downtown HK. 🏙️ There are high-end shops everywhere in the Landmark building itself. Outside, along Queens Road Central, you can find Marks & Spencer and other well known stores. Peking Garden 16-20 Chater Road Shop B1, B/F Landmark Alexandra Central, Hong Kong +852 2526 6456 The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel is right nearby too, 5-star accommodation to more than match this dining style! 🤗 As we had a table booking, we arrived at 11:30 am and were some of the first in the restaurant and ahead of the lunch-timers who arrived in stages after 12 noon. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere to start with and chose the banquet-for-three. 🥢 Each course was served in a timely way. Of course, we started with tea in a fancy, rectangular pot! 🫖 Entrée was tofu rolls, with fresh flowers on the plate. This was followed by abalone soup, which also included a chicken foot! 🤗 If you are looking for traditional and authentic, I think you will be satisfied here. The Beijing Duck was also original, with splintered onion, cucumber sticks and sauce to roll-up in the paper-thin steamed wraps. The duck meat truly was nicely sliced and lean, something this restaurant is noted for. 👍 💰 I did not pay the check, but I am guessing at $400/person. Nothing was done cheap.
