Sleep, Eat, Explore – My Chill KL Escape at MoMo’s

I recently went on a short staycation at MoMo’s Kuala Lumpur, a boutique hotel located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. I actually planned to stay somewhere in Bukit Bintang, but I stumbled on a promo on Trip.com — two nights at MoMo’s for just RM187.74. Not bad at all, so I booked it straight away. The hotel has this cool, minimalist vibe. My room was compact but super comfy — it had a low platform bed, good aircond, and a proper hot shower. I absolutely loved the herbal scent of the shower gel and shampoo — it honestly felt like a mini spa moment. Overall, I was really happy with the stay. The location is super strategic. It’s just a short walk to Medan Tuanku Monorail and Sultan Ismail LRT, so getting around was super easy. I got to explore a bunch of places like KL Forest Eco Park (the canopy walk was really fun!) and I even hopped on the KL Hop-On Hop-Off Bus from Bukit Bintang. One of my highlights was definitely the food. Around the hotel, there were so many options! I had nasi kandar from Kudu bin Abdul, which apparently was once a favourite of the legendary P. Ramlee — how cool is that? The kari banjir was flavorful and everything just hit the spot. I also tried nasi kapau (Minang-style) with tender gulai tunjang and crispy dendeng goreng — super satisfying and full of flavor. At Central Market, I took my time exploring the place and ended up buying a bunch of postcards. I always love collecting them from places I visit — simple, nostalgic, and perfect as little keepsakes. To move around easily, I used the RapidKL MyCity Pass — great value for unlimited rides on LRT and monorail. Way more convenient than buying single tickets every time. All in all, it was such a nice escape right in the city.
