Lugao Coffee Manor｜A secret place in the hills beside Sun Moon Lake, where you can taste the local Taiwanese coffee and tea

📍 Location No. 31-6, Xiangcha Lane, Yuchi Township, Nantou County ⸻ 🚗 Transportation • Driving by yourself: From Taichung, take National Highway 6 to the Ailan Interchange, then take Provincial Highway 14 to Yuchi Township and turn into Xiangcha Lane to arrive. • Public Transportation: Take the Taiwan Express Sun Moon Lake Line to Yuchi Station, then take a taxi or walk to the destination.  ⸻ 📝 Personal experience Lugao Coffee Estate, affiliated to Taiwan Agriculture and Forestry Co., Ltd., is located on a hill in Yuchi Township, Nantou, about 600 to 700 meters above sea level. It has a mild climate and good drainage, which is suitable for growing coffee trees and black tea. The coffee beans and tea leaves in the estate are all grown in-house, and hand-brewed coffee, tea drinks and light meals are provided, allowing people to taste the local flavor while enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounded by tea plantations and forests.   The cafe uses large glass designs, and the interior space is bright and spacious, making people feel as if they are in nature. There is a viewing platform outdoors, overlooking the layers of tea plantations and distant mountains, the scenery is pleasant. In addition, there is a tea garden trail in the manor, which is suitable for strolling and feeling the fragrance of tea and the breath of nature.    It is worth mentioning that Lugao Coffee Manor currently does not charge admission. Only a minimum consumption of one drink per person is required (including children over 120 cm tall). No reservation service is provided, and guests can sit freely on site. Due to the high crowds during holidays, it is recommended to go on weekdays or arrive early to enjoy a more peaceful atmosphere.
