Japan Travel Review Osaka — A city full of brightness, deliciousness, fun, and irresistible cuteness! Hello everyone! Today, Boom will take you to Osaka, a city full of excitement, cuteness, and warmth. It's like meeting an old friend who welcomes us with a smile and delicious food on the table. Let's get ready with Boom~ ⸻ Day 1: Get off the plane and explore Dotonbori — Light, sound, and deliciousness After landing at Kansai Airport, we immediately jumped on the JR train to enter Osaka without delay. Our first destination was the Dotonbori area, a center of fun and delicious food. When we walked out of the train station, we saw the Glico sign greeting us with its cuteness. We felt so excited. Dotonbori is full of neon lights and there are so many shops that we don't know what to choose. Boom started with the famous menu here, takoyaki, round balls that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, stuffed with lots of squid. Topped with a special sauce, mayonnaise, and seaweed. Sprinkled with white sesame seeds. Hmm~ So awesome! Not far away, Boom also tried Okonomiyaki, a dough mixed with vegetables and meat, topped with sweet sauce and mayonnaise to add richness. Both dishes were so good that we had to queue up to eat several more trays. While walking around, Boom found a cute Japanese sweets shop selling mochi in sweet colors shaped like cherry blossoms. There were many cute souvenirs to choose from. The staff were very friendly and smiling. It felt very warm. ⸻ Day 2: Kuromon Market and Shinsaibashi — Shop, Eat, Chill This morning, we started at Kuromon Market, which is known as the “Kitchen of Osaka.” Here, there are fresh seafood, colorful vegetables and fruits, and very fresh seafood. Boom tried small, fresh sushi pieces, soft and smooth salmon, sweet, crispy shrimp grilled to a tempting aroma, and many other dishes that made us feel like we were really eating fresh seafood from Japan. Then we traveled to Shinsaibashi, a lively shopping area full of famous brand shops and cute souvenir shops, including dolls, mochi, and Japanese cosmetics that made Boom’s heart melt. While walking, we stopped by a cute cafe that served hot green tea with Japanese sweets. The seats were comfortable, perfect for taking a break and recharging. ⸻ Day 3: Universal Studios Japan — Heaven for movie lovers and extreme fun Today was the day that Boom was super excited because we got to go to Universal Studios Japan (USJ), the world-famous movie-themed theme park. Starting with the Harry Potter zone, it felt like we had truly entered a magical world. Hogsmeade Alley was so beautiful. We tried the sweet and fragrant butterbeer with soft foam and played the Flying Hippogriff ride that made us scream nonstop. There was also the Mario Kart zone where we raced with our favorite cartoon characters and took pictures with Mario in his cute outfit. Boom also tried the Minion popcorn snacks that were so cute I didn't dare to eat them, haha. ⸻ Day 4: Osaka Castle and the Super Cute Cat Cafe Today, we went to experience authentic Japanese culture at Osaka Castle an old castle with a long history. Boom walked around the beautiful garden. There were colorful trees, especially during the changing of the leaves. We went up to the top of the castle to see the view of Osaka as far as the eye could see. Boom took a lot of photos during this period. Photography lovers will definitely love it. After that, we stopped by Nakazakicho, an art district with small cafes. Boom chose to sit at a super cute cat cafe. The fluffy cats walked around with customers in a friendly manner. They sipped green tea. It felt like being at home. ⸻ Day 5: Tenjinbashi Market and walked around preparing to go home. On the last day, we went to Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai Market. It is the longest community market in Japan. The atmosphere is warm and there are many shops. Boom tried Japanese fried snacks. He bought real green tea and cute souvenirs to take home. It felt like he really experienced the Osaka lifestyle. Before boarding the plane to go home, Boom sipped coffee by the Osaka River. Reminiscing about the happiness of this trip, he felt full of good memories. He wanted to keep them forever. ⸻ Summary of impressions Osaka is a very charming city. It has fun, delicious food, authentic Japanese culture, and the people here are lovely and warm. Every place he went made Boom very impressed.
