Old Street but still trendy

#springitinerary Dihua Street is like Taipei’s cool grandma, full of history but still trendy. It’s one of those places where you can sip fancy tea in a cute café, then turn the corner and find a shop selling herbs or dried squid from 50 years ago. The buildings are old beautiful brick walls, wood signs, red lanterns, all that good stuff. Super photogenic. It’s got this chill, slow vibe, perfect for strolling without a plan. Pop into local boutiques, try quirky street snacks, or grab a seat at a rooftop bar near the wharf and watch the sunset over the river. It gets extra lively during Lunar New Year, but even on a regular day, it’s packed with charm. Not flashy, not touristy in a bad way, just a super laid-back slice of Taipei with lots of heart and really good tea. Definitely worth a wander.
