Let's go to one of the most famous lakes in China, West Lake or Xihu (西湖) in Hangzhou. This lake is soooooo big. If you want to go to all the check-in points around the lake, it will take half a day. If you only walk, you definitely won't be able to go all the way. We tried it, just walking, stopping to take pictures, and sitting and looking at the view. That day, we walked 20,000 steps, but still didn't go to all the landmarks. If you want to go all the way, you have to take a boat and a bus to different points, plus walk. You have to plan carefully where to go. But if you're not serious, I think walking around is quite relaxing. For us, we think the view isn't that different. 🤣 Mostly, it's just water and gardens, trees, and flowers. We recommend going in spring because if the weather is too hot or cold, you definitely won't be able to walk.
