有独角兽的名故城Going to Meidaizhao and then to the Jokhang Temple in Hohhot created a fascinating sense of continuity. We happened to have a chance. Visiting Meidaizhao in the morning and the Jokhang Temple the next day was a truly wonderful experience. A guided tour of Meidaizhao is essential to truly appreciate the historical continuity. If you want to climb the White Pagoda later, you don't need to buy a ticket; you can go there on your own.

晶莹带你看世界Encountering Saishang Old Street and Immersing in the Ancient Charm Stepping onto Saishang Old Street, I felt like I was plunging into the embrace of bygone times. The bluestone pavement beneath my feet, polished smooth by time, felt like a dialogue with history with every step. The quaint shops lining the street resembled mysterious treasure boxes. As I wandered through them, my gaze was captivated by the exquisite handicrafts. The vibrantly colored paper-cuts and delicate, vivid leather carvings all left me marveling at the masterful craftsmanship of the folk artists. The air was filled with the aroma of delicious food. A bite of grilled lamb skewers, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of spice, instantly ignited my taste buds. Standing in the center of the old street, I watched the bustling crowds—tourists like me, their faces filled with curiosity, and locals, leisurely and content. Here, tradition and modernity intertwine in perfect harmony. Saishang Old Street is more than just a street; it's a living history book, documenting the city's past and transformation. I was intoxicated by this ancient charm and modern style and was reluctant to leave. This unique experience will always remain deep in my memory and become a precious treasure.

蓉归故里Dazhao Temple is the most important royal temple in Hohhot and Inner Mongolia, and a must-see scenic spot when visiting Hohhot. The entire temple is magnificent and worth spending half a day visiting. The nearby Sai Shang Old Street is also worth a visit. The only downside is that it gets very crowded with tourists during the summer vacation.

墨晓意This Ming Dynasty building, rich in cultural, historical, and verve, lies across from the Jokhang Temple and bordered by Shaomai Street. It embodies a rich tapestry of history and religious heritage. Walking quietly here, one hears the stirrings of history. Emperor Kangxi himself once stayed here temporarily, and the area has witnessed different people and events throughout history. This powerful statement demonstrates that successful cultural tourism must integrate the humanities. It's truly true.

吃饱满面的仙女This time I went to see the King Kong Sheli Pagoda, which was really shocking. When I arrived there, the pagoda stood tall and conspicuous, looking simple and powerful. Walked in and saw, the carving above is not beautiful, whether it is animals or scriptures, every detail is very particular, you can see how powerful the craftsmen were. I heard that this tower has a long history and carries a lot of stories. Standing under the tower, my heart was inexplicably quiet, and I could feel the strong historical and cultural atmosphere. This trip is too worthwhile, I recommend everyone to feel it!

影子罗罗Journey through history and explore the Zhaojun Museum. Entering the Zhaojun Museum is like opening a thick history book, each page filled with stories of the ages. The first thing that catches your eye upon entering the museum is the towering tomb of Wang Zhaojun. Constructed during the Western Han Dynasty, this ancient tomb is over 2,000 years old. Its towering mound, covered in verdant grass, creates a breathtaking scene from afar. A series of exhibition halls are strategically arranged around the tomb, forming this unique museum. The Xiongnu History Museum displays numerous precious artifacts that, spanning millennia, tell the story of the Xiongnu people's rise and fall, their glory and disgrace. From the Xiongnu's rise to their interactions with the Central Plains, their economic and cultural development, and their profound influence on later generations, all are presented here in detail. While the exhibits are limited in number, each one is invaluable, offering a deeper understanding of this ancient people. The Zhaojun Frontier Exhibition Hall focuses on the life and deeds of Wang Zhaojun. Through exquisite oil paintings, lifelike sculptures, intuitive sand table maps, and modern audio-visual technology, it vividly recreates Zhaojun's legendary journey from the secluded boudoir of the Han Palace to her marriage to the distant frontier. Standing before these exhibits, one can almost see this resolute woman who resolutely embarked on the journey to the frontier for the sake of national peace and tranquility. The Ancient Chinese Peaceful Marriage Cultural Hall is another highlight of the museum, systematically showcasing the practice of peaceful marriages in ancient China. From the pre-Qin period to the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, events related to peaceful marriages are presented here. Through documents, images, and scene reconstructions, one can gain a deeper understanding of the political wisdom behind this unique diplomatic tactic and its important role in promoting ethnic integration and cultural exchange. In addition to its rich exhibits, the museum also boasts a unique architectural style. The main building is a semi-underground, earth-covered structure, with an earthy yellow exterior resembling a hopper-shaped Han tomb. It blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment, exuding a solemn and ancient air. The stone statues flanking the sacred path, though not original, exude the majesty of history, silently guarding this land. The Zhaojun Museum is more than just a tourist attraction; it is a historical monument, a witness to interethnic friendship and cultural exchange. Here, history ceases to be a dry text in books and becomes vivid and tangible. For both history and culture enthusiasts and ordinary tourists, this is a cultural journey not to be missed.

吃饱满面的仙女Family, come to Hohhot must go to the general of Yuanyuan City! As soon as I arrived there, the stone lion at the door took me to town, with a special momentum. Inside, the red walls and green tiles, the ancient trees were lush and full of simplicity. Follow the signs all the way, you can see the lobby, the second hall, the third hall, and various vans. Listening to the explanation, I have learned a lot of history of the Qing Dynasty, like the duties of the general, the military and political events of the year, I feel that a lot of knowledge has risen, it is really interesting, it is worth coming!

M52***52I was a little disappointed after taking bus 92 to the Chulechuan Grassland stop. There was no grassland, just a desolate meadow with very short, dry grass. In the distance, I saw a building that looked like a yurt, went inside for a quick look, took a photo with a sculpture of a Mongolian beauty, and then came out via a road near the mountains. There was a bus stop for bus 115 by the roadside. After waiting a while, the bus arrived (it came from the Red Education Base), and I rode for two stops before finally reaching the core scenic area! It was breathtaking! Grasslands, towering green mountains, and babbling rivers were all within easy reach, a truly beautiful sight. The only downside was that I didn't see any horses or sheep. For the return trip, I first took bus 115 to the Red Education Base, then transferred to bus 92. Bus 115 is a suburban bus, running approximately every hour, so be mindful of your travel time. No entrance fee is required.
