We take your concerns seriously, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points while addressing the issues you raised.As an aparthotel, part of our concept is to provide a “home away from home” experience. That includes giving our guests the independence and privacy they would have in their own homes—this means being responsible for things like trash removal, towel changes, and basic upkeep. Climate change is real, and we’re doing our best to reduce our environmental footprint. Most people don’t change their towels or bed sheets every day at home, so why should it be the norm in hotels? We do provide fresh towels, sheets, trash removal, and similar essentials free of charge, but we don’t offer them proactively without a request—because that goes against our sustainability-led concept. Of course, we understand this approach may not be ideal for everyone, and we respect that. For guests who prefer more frequent housekeeping, extra cleaning services are available upon request for an additional fee.That said, I’m genuinely sorry that the communication around this was not handled better during your stay. All of this information is clearly stated on our website and in the confirmation emails sent at the time of booking. Still, it’s clear that in your case, the situation wasn’t addressed with the level of care we always aim to provide—and for that, I apologize.In regard to your interaction with our team, particularly the staff member on duty that evening, Paulo, we’re deeply sorry that you felt uncomfortable. The vast majority of our guests consistently compliment our staff for being warm, helpful, and professional. Of course, we’re all human, and we recognize that someone may have an off day—we will look into this incident seriously. That being said, we know Paulo well, and we have full confidence that, despite a potentially difficult moment, he would never make a guest feel threatened or psychologically affected.It’s also worth noting that, as an aparthotel, we don’t have 24-hour room service or housekeeping. Still, Paulo took the initiative to help clean your room personally—something that is not part of his official duties—in an effort to assist you after your personal incident. He did this entirely on his own goodwill, as there is no intervention from external agencies like Ctrip or others in the way we operate or manage our team. This is our workspace, and we take full responsibility for how we serve our guests—independently and with care. While the communication may not have come across in the best way, the intention was genuinely to help, and we’re sorry this wasn’t the experience you were left with.It’s truly disappointing to hear that your experience left you with such a negative impression. We sincerely hope that one unfortunate situation won’t define your view of us. Our goal is always to provide our guests with memorable, comfortable, and respectful stays.
