The Arlo Hotel, BW Signature Collection ★★★

📍 88 Albert St,

"The room was spacious, and the furniture and amenities were excellent. The kitchen was fully equipped, though it would have been even better if they had some salt and black pepper on hand. The front desk staff were friendly and proactive, and the hotel's location was great. I was very satisfied!"

Barefoot Inn

Barefoot Inn ★★

📍 455 Cumberland St,

"This was/still is hostel, set up as a hostel-like place with shared bathrooms and shared living room/kitchen area. I was there midweek during snowy weather, for a work event in nearby downtown and had the entire place to myself! It was a little lonely, actually. I don't know how it would have been had I had to share the space with others, but of the 4 rooms, only mine was occupied. Totally reminded me of a favorite place I lived in college, a historic boarding house also with shared bathrooms and living areas. My cozy bedroom had a lock on the door and the outer door was accessed via key card. Nice bedding. I slept well. The front desk for the Barefoot Inn is in the adjacent Swisshotel and Sabina at the desk was very helpful by phone and email when my flight was delayed and when I had to check in after 10:00pm. It's truly the Barefoot Inn-- you are required to remove your shoes upon entry. From the icy slop on the sidewalks outside you can see why. The space is very cute and nicely appointed. The bedrooms are all upstairs. There is one full bath upstairs and a powder room downstairs next to the kitchen. The kitchen has a college dorm vibe... hot plate, etc. Full fridge. You are requested to mark your food with your name and check-out date. It's a couple block walk to downtown, so it was an easy stroll to the convention center, and near all of the businesses on busy Rideau Street. Close to public transportation. Lots of foot traffic outside all day and night due to nearby university. Great little historic building and nostalgic feel."

Hampton Inn by Hilton Ottawa Airport ★★★

📍 2869 Gibford Dr,
