"The front desk staff at Holiday Inn Express Shenzhen Dongmen were very welcoming and kindly upgraded my room. The high-floor room was quiet and offered expansive views. The bedding was clean, consistent with Holiday Inn Express standards. However, the bathroom floor tiles seemed a bit dated and had some minor imperfections. The breakfast selection was decent."

"right next to a large upscale mall so everything is really convenient. Just note that the metro is a long underground walk away because the mall is simply massive. also near a huge park so there's a good range of activities. muji vibes everywhere. toiletries, snacks, and tea all muji branded. thoughtful service as the staff placed a bookmark for my friend who had left a book out on the nightstand. bathroom could do with more hooks for hanging stuff. overall would recommend and stay again."

"This hotel is a hidden gem! the location is very nice and close to everything in this small beautiful town. Right in front of the building is a local canal and you will find the hotel's restaurant where you can have breakfast in the morning and buy a local style skewers at night. The room itself is sparkingly clean, albeit a minor toilet screen door's seal damage that needs repair. If you come as a family with your kids, the private hot spring may not be that private because there was no door to give you privacy from you kids! (only Chinese pattern partition screen door). Apart from that everything was in very good order. The hotel staff was super friendly even though he could speak limited English. There was some confusion during check-in that I made a prepay via credit card over Trip.com already but he miscommunicated and charged me again. He found out later on and hurry to my room to amend that and he said he feel deeply sorry for that misunderstanding. Later that night, he sent message through my WeChat that there is free milk offered before 10pm. While I got back to the receotion at 9pm asking for the milk for my daughter, the receptionist said I have to walk back to the restaurant in front to get it but my daughter did not feel like walking back so we said we were good and heading back to room to call it a day. About 10 minutes later, the same guy knock my door and came with 2 cups of hot milk! This is beyond my expectation :) and it was a heartfelt service I have never had before even from the hotel in Thailand, my country where the hospitality and service has been highly regarded. He also helped negotiate with the tricycle taxi from the Gankeng Town Gate to the Gangkeng station the next morning when I check out. I could understand a bit of Mandarin and I heard the taxi driver try to charge extra for my luggage but he asked the driver not to charge and he agreed. I regret that I did not ask for this hotel's staff name but he wears glasses, about 180cm tall and was driving the hotel's golf cart in my last photo here. I would like to say to him that you are the best! and keep up the great work ;) You will not disappoint anything at this hotel as it worth much more than what you paid for ;)"

"Who says a weekend getaway has to take you far away? At Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Wuzhou, I discovered the ultimate urban escape. Mornings were for soaking up the sun by the pool, afternoons for unwinding with a coffee and a good book in the Executive Lounge, and evenings for a leisurely dinner at the restaurant. And the bed in my guest room was so incredibly comfortable, I barely wanted to leave it! The service team was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive, almost like friends. A special shout-out to Joy, Patrick, and Rina at the front desk, who were always responsive to every request yet never intrusive. This perfect blend of care and discretion was a huge bonus! A truly perfect weekend, achieved!"

"The hotel itself has insufficient parking. As a chain brand, they should really plan ahead for any conferences or events, always prioritizing guests. It's simply unacceptable for hotel guests to have to park off-site and pay out of pocket. The hotel manager eventually helped resolve the issue after some back-and-forth, but with such limited parking by design, the management really should have proactive contingency plans in place when events are being held. This is quite surprising for a chain brand. Moving on to their 'family-friendly' facilities, they simply aren't. The 'kids' play area' shown in the picture is the most dismal I've ever encountered. Honestly, it would be better if they just didn't advertise having one at all. They really shouldn't be targeting the family market, as the hotel's facilities and amenities simply don't meet the requirements. For families like ours, who frequently stay at various family-friendly hotels, the difference is stark. My advice would be for them to just abandon the 'family hotel' concept entirely. Regarding the family room, both the website and my booking confirmation stated there would be toys. However, upon arrival, all we found were Paul Frank decorations. This is a clear case of misrepresentation. The specific theme isn't the point; the issue is that your website explicitly promised toys. After I complained, they did eventually switch us to a themed room that actually had toys. Overall, my impression is that this hotel, being close to the high-speed rail, is suitable for business travelers looking for a convenient place to rest. For a vacation, I definitely wouldn't recommend it."

From the moment we stepped through the doors, everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shout-out to Eric from the Executive Lounge, who kindly upgraded us to a suite during check-in. Also, a huge thank you to Service Ambassador Eva, whose warm, thoughtful, and attentive service truly goes above and beyond to meet every guest's needs. The hotel excels in both its facilities and service quality. It was an unforgettable stay!"

"Many thanks go to staff especially Dexter 鄭 & Alex 張 at frontdesk and Ms Minnie (on 45/F lounge) who are professional in customer services. Great time for celebration there! The evening cocktail standard is just so so, but the breakfast is nice! Great for enjoying Ginger Ale & afternoon tea at lounge, and tasty grape juice at lounge and breakfast!!! Thanks for the tasty birthday cake💚 The only things that require improvement are: 1) possible mis-communication between back office staff & housekeeping which caused an hour+ delay 2) a few-days delay of returning the room deposit 3) staff at lobby bar came to clear only partial rubbish of the previous customer, but left some rubbish on our table .... strange 4) No NHK Japanese TV programe in room. Only Korean one offered. May revisit this hotel in future again 🙂🙂"

"The hotel is modern and clean. Staff are very helpful. My package included an access to the executive lounge. It has a good look of mountains and a pond. The staff are there are very courteous and helpful. The light snacks served at the lounge ate good enough for a light dinner. The hotel us a bit far away from the nearby shopping mall. There is nothing around the hotel except for fashion centers that my family did not have time for a visit. The swimming pool is small compared with a 4 or 5 star hotel."
