The checkin was easy and quick. The room was a typical motel room but the bed was excellent, nice and soft. The bathroom was on the small side with the sink out in the main room, but big enough and the shower pressure was good. There were plenty of tea and coffee available with a small carton of milk in the fridge. The wifi, a must have for me, was a good speed. There is no food available at the motel but right across the road there are 3 restaurants, Italian, Chinese and Thai so no problem. The thing that attracted me to start with was the availability of 2 free Tesla chargers which were both available while we were there so an easy overnight charge at 3.6kwh.

Room is cleaned; neat and clean towels. But the smell of an old room when you walk in, it’s really unpleasant. Overall, very friendly reception and clean. It’s good for short stay.

Very clean and good motel. The room was great and the bed very comfortable. The only drawback is that it's a bit far out of the centre of town.

Great little room which was very clean, good service and just across from the cinema which was good, not too far of a drive to get to the shops.

Fantastic location with a short walk to the cinema, manning river hotel and shopping centre. Beautiful large room and good sized shower. Definitely will book here again

Great location.Few restaurants right across the road so convenient.Check in/out was easy. Room was renovated and very clean.Shower was strong.Towels are soft and clean.Everything was so good and no complaints at all.Will come back again.

We stopped here on our way to the Gold Coast. Much nicer than expected. The room was very spacious, clean, tidy and comfortable. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. He recommended the pub across the road for dinner - it was really good also.

Very helpful staff. Able to charge my EV. Close to the Pub for a good meal. Enjoyable stay in a comfortable and clean room.

I liked the modern look of the room. White sheets and simple yet elegant design. I also like how there are a couple of restaurants across the road despite being located out of the main town. The pool also looks really great but unfortunately didn't have the time to use it. Room was only OK. Bed was too soft or too old. Cleanliness below average - I saw dust collecting in the less obvious areas and some soft furniture looks stained. I'm not sure if housekeeping even wear masks during COVID? The blinds don't really work properly and there's no lighter curtains to let the sun in but still have some privacy. The biggest downside was the thin walls. I could literally hear every conversation of both my neighbours, and could even hear them showering too. It was so audible it was like we were in the same room - and they weren't yelling. I've never experienced such poor sound proofing in a motel or motor inn before.

Pluses - Clean & comfortable with good air con. Has been renovated not too long ago as well. Pool clean & refreshing although cushions on chairs could do with some TLC. Shaded BBQ area with large table & chairs - table a bit grotty. Minuses - Hard to sleep during day on weekend as maintenance worker was busy. Light comes in under both bathroom door & entry door detracting from good blackout curtains. There's no nearby food/coffee on weekends within anything under a 20 min walk other than a pub across the road that is not open until after check out time.

The staff were great except for the man who opened the door to come in without knocking while we were getting changed. The bed was terrible - like foam with no support. There was no sink or mirror in the bathroom - had to use the kitchen sink. The laundry was next to our room and the pipes hammered every time the water went on and off and they started washing sheets at 6am. Apart from that it was fine.

Taree stopover! We requested a downstairs room and was offered an updated room at an extra cost, it was money well spent. It had a huge TV and beautiful bathroom, not big but big enough. Bed was very comfortable too, king size.

Fantastic 5 star stay We came to Taree for a family catch up after a trip to the Hunter staying at the Crowne Plaza. We were expecting a worn out tired and average country motel. The Alabaster Motel was BETTER than the Crowne Plaza The motel has had a major refurbishment, in which they did not skimp! This was not a superficial new coat of paint and some cheap fitout. They thought about it, and made the rooms very classy and comfortable. I particularly like that the king size beds are actual king size beds and not 2 king single beds joined together. The pillows were top quality as you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating to our needs. I would also thank the staff for the recommendation to the Manning River Hotel for dinner/lunch! Again, you look at the building and think this is going to average. The staff and kitchen was EXCEPTIONAL! Awesome counter meals. Thank you Alabaster for great stay and we will be back
